Shall the City Council adopt the order to reverse the decision of the Planning Commission for Comprehensive Plan Change, Neighborhood Plan Change, and Zone Change Case No. CPC-NPC-ZC20-04?

 

**Note.  The hearing for this matter is closed and no further testimony will be accepted.  This item is solely for the City Council to consider adoption of the written order as the final decision.

Adopt the order reversing the decision of the Planning Commission for Comprehensive Plan Change, Neighborhood Plan Change, and Zone Change Case No. CPC-NPC-ZC20-04.

SUMMARY:

 

On August 25, 2020, the decision of the Planning Commission was issued approving an application to change the comprehensive plan map designation, neighborhood plan map designation, and zoning of property totaling approximately 1.89 acres in size and located in the 2400 block of Commercial Street NE and Liberty Street NE.  The decision was subsequently called-up for review by the City Council, pursuant to SRC 300.1050, on September 14, 2020.   

 

 

FACTS AND FINDINGS:

 

On October 12, 2020, the City Council held a public hearing to review the Planning Commission's August 25, 2020, decision.  After receiving evidence and testimony regarding the proposal the City Council conducted deliberations and voted to reverse the Planning Commission's decision.  The attached order (Attachment 1) establishes the facts and findings for the City Council's decision.
