Following a review of current applications, on December 5, 2023, the Boards & Commissions Appointment Committee makes the following recommendations:

• John Lattimer - reappoint to a term #2 expiring December 31, 2026
• Jason Allen - appoint to a term #1 expiring December 31, 2026
• Cheryl Hummon - appoint to a term #1 expiring December 31, 2026
• Community Police Review Board
• Ryan Shands - appoint to a term #2 expiring January 1, 2026
• Oni Marchbanks - reappoint to a term #2 expiring January 1, 2026
• Mel Gregg - reappoint to a term #2 expiring January 1, 2026
• Elizabeth Infante - reappoint to a term #2 expiring January 1, 2026

BACKGROUND:
Authority for the Citizens Advisory Traffic Commission is set forth in SRC Chapter 5 (last printing 3/2009) most recent ordinance 66-2002, with members to be appointed by City Council.
Authority for the Community Police Review Board is set forth in SRC Chapter 201, with members to be appointed by City Council.
Authority for the Downtown Advisory Board is set forth in SRC 2.530 - 2.655 (see IGA between the City and URA dated 4/20/2005), with some members to be appointed by City Council and some to be appointed by the Urban Renewal Agency.
Authority for the Salem Public Library Advisory Board is set forth in SRC Chapter 18 (last printing 3/2009) most recent ordinance 51-96, with members to be appointed by City Council.
