SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND:

 

A general election was held on November 8, 2022, at which time the City of Salem had candidates for Mayor and Councilors for Wards 2, 4, 6 and 8, Municipal Court Judge and Ballot Measure 24-474 - City of Salem Community Capital Improvements General Obligation Bond Authorization.    

 

 

FACTS AND FINDINGS:

 

The City Recorder’s Office has received a final official canvass of votes cast in the election certified by Marion and Polk County Clerks.

 

SRC 11.340 states that the Mayor shall proclaim the results of the election immediately upon receipt of the canvass of votes for an election.
