SUMMARY:
On January 11, 2021 the City Council adopted a motion from Councilor Tom Andersen to adopt a statement condemning racism and white supremacy. This resolution memorializes that action.
FACTS AND FINDINGS:
At the January 11, 2021 City Council meeting, City Council adopted a statement condemning racism and white supremacy from Councilor Tom Andersen. The proposed statement was provided via e-mail to members of council immediately prior to the meeting. Resolution No. 2021-2 is substantially similar to the statement proposed by Councilor Andersen.
