The Mayor reviewed applications and requests for reappointment on December 11, 2019, and announced his appointments and reappointments of the candidates listed below.

Airport Advisory Commission

As described in Salem Revised Code Chapter 9, The Airport Advisory Commission (AAC) advises the Council on all airport matters.

 

Center 50+ Advisory Commission

The Center 50+ Advisory Commission serves as an advisory commission to the City Council and Salem Senior Center Staff in matters related to the operations of the Salem Senior Center.


Historic Landmarks Commission

The Historic Landmarks Commission advises the Council on matters pertaining to historic sites and structures in Salem, administers the Historic Preservation Ordinance, and assists property owners in preservations of such structures.


Human Rights Commission
Salem Revised Code Chapter 8 creates the Human Rights Commission, which states that appointments are made by the Mayor.


Airport Advisory Commission (three-year terms)

Reappoint Neil Eldon White to a term #2 with a term expiring on December 31, 2022.

Appoint Kat Pence to a term #1 with a term expiring on December 31, 2022.

Center 50+ Advisory Commission (three-year terms)

Reappoint Sandy Kinney to a term #2 with a term expiring on December 31, 2022.

Historic Landmarks Commission (three-year terms)

Reappoint Carroll Cottingham to a term #1 with a term expiring on December 31, 2022.

Reappoint Tracy Schwartz to a term #1 with a term expiring on December 31, 2022.

Reappoint Patricia Mulvihill to a term #1 with a term expiring on December 31, 2022.

Human Rights Commission (three-year terms)

Reappoint Felicia Bechtoldt to a term #2 expiring on December 31, 2022.

Reappoint Tricarico Schwartz to a term #1 expiring on December 31, 2022.

Reappoint Lowell Alik to a term #1 expiring on December 31, 2022.

Appoint David Rheinholdt to a partial term expiring on December 31, 2021.
