SUMMARY:
On September 5, 2019, the decision of the Planning Commission was issued approving a consolidated application to change the Comprehensive Plan Map designation and/or zoning for several tax lots to accommodate future commercial and mixed-use development of property located at 2465, 2499, 2501, and 2519 Wallace Road NW and 1221 River Bend Road NW. The decision was subsequently appealed by the West Salem Neighborhood Association on September 20, 2019.
FACTS AND FINDINGS:
On October 28, 2019, the City Council held a public hearing to consider the appeal of the Planning Commission's September 5, 2019, decision (Attachment 1). After receiving evidence and testimony regarding the proposal, the City Council conducted deliberations and voted to modify the Planning Commission's decision. The attached order (Attachment 2) and Exhibit 1 (Attachment 3) provide the facts and findings for the City Council's decision.
