SUMMARY:
Approval of the recommendation will allow the City to receive $4,243,000 from the Urban Renewal Agency (Agency) to complete construction of Division Street improvements.
FACTS AND FINDINGS:
The Agency has allocated a total of $4,243,000 for construction of Division Street improvements. The project includes design and construction of street and intersection improvements associated with construction of the new Salem Police Station.
The City is in the process of executing a contract for the construction of the improvements to Division Street. In order to transfer Agency funds to the City for construction costs, it is necessary for Council to authorize the attached grant agreement (Attachment 1).
