SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND:

On October 28, 2016, the City and Salem-Keizer School District 24J (SKSD) entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement (Agreement) (Attachment 1) to transfer multiple properties to accurately reflect the use and ownership of each parcel.

FACTS AND FINDINGS:

Due diligence required by the Agreement is taking longer than anticipated, and it is necessary to amend the Agreement to allow time to complete surveys, property line adjustments, and other requirements necessary for the transfer. Staff recommends changing the closing date from June 30, 2017, to December 31, 2017, as described in the proposed amendment (Attachment 2). All other terms of the Agreement shall remain unchanged.
