MOTION:

 

I move that Council designate Councilor Brad Nanke as temporary presiding officer for all city council meetings from May 15 through June 5, 2019.

DISCUSSION:

 

 I and Councilor Hoy, Council President, will not be available to attend Council meetings from May 15 through June 5. Currently, there is a regularly scheduled Council meeting for Tuesday, May 28. Council Rule 2 requires the Mayor, or in the Mayor’s absence, the Council President, to act as the Presiding Officer for the Council. Due to our absence, Council should designate a temporary presiding officer, to preside over any Council or Urban Renewal Agency meetings during that period.

 

I nominate Councilor Brad Nanke.
