Announcement of Appointments to the Salem City Council Transit Committee

At the May 22, 2017, City Council meeting Resolution No 2017-29 was adopted approving creation of the Salem City Council Transit Committee. Members of committees are appointed by the Mayor, and pursuant to the resolution members of the committee shall serve for one-year terms, and may be reappointed to additional terms. The Committee shall have nine members, consisting of three members of the City Council, and six members of the public who have an interest in having the Salem area served by a robust, convenient, and financially sustainable public transportation system.
Mayor Bennett has appointed the following individuals to the Salem City Council Transit Committee:
Chris Hoy, City Councilor
Jim Lewis, City Councilor
Steve McCoid, City Councilor
Ian Davidson, Policy Analyst
Alan Pollock, Salem-Keizer Transit (Cherriots)
Alan Scott, Retired
Cy Smith, State Geospatial Information Officer
Joshua Taverne, Bus Driver/Liaison Officer
Nick Williams, Salem Area Chamber of Commerce
