A special election was held on March 14, 2017, at which time the City of Salem had candidates for Councilor for Ward 6.

FACTS AND FINDINGS:
The City Recorder’s Office has received a final official canvass of votes cast in the election certified by the Marion County Clerk.
SRC 11.340 states that the Mayor shall proclaim the results of the election immediately upon receipt of the canvass of votes in an election.
