SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND:
On October 12, 2016, the Salem City Council will conduct a joint public hearing with the Keizer City Council, Keizer City Planning Commission, Marion County Board of Commissioners, Polk County Board of Commissioners, and the Polk County Planning Commission. The purpose of this joint public hearing is to receive testimony regarding Ordinance Bill No. 14-16, Making Major Comprehensive Plan Amendments Pertaining to the Salem River Crossing Preferred Alternative.
FACTS AND FINDINGS:
The Salem City Council will consider first reading of Ordinance Bill No. 14-16 at its regularly scheduled meeting on October 10, 2016. The staff report for the October 10 meeting provides Ordinance Bill No. 14-16, applicable criteria, and findings. This staff report is provided as Attachment 1.
Procedures for the joint public hearing will be considered by all parties at the start of the October 12 joint public hearing. The proposed order and procedures for the joint public hearing are provided as Attachment 2.
