ISSUE:

 

Shall City Council adopt Resolution No. 2016-41 to dedicate the lands acquired from Marion County District 24J, commonly known as Salem-Keizer School District 24J, described in Polk County Book of Records Document Numbers 2016-004738 and 2016-004739, to the public for right-of-way?

Adopt Resolution No. 2016-41 that dedicates the lands acquired from Marion County District 24J, commonly known as Salem-Keizer School District 24J, described in Polk County Book of Records Document Numbers 2016-004738 and 2016-004739, to the public for right-of-way.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND:

 

The property is depicted in “Exhibit 1” of Resolution No. 2016-41.    

 

 

FACTS AND FINDINGS:

 

The right of way will provide public access to Straub Middle School and Kalapuya Elementary School via Wilmington Avenue NW and Roadrunner Street NW.  The property along Orchard Heights Road NW was obtained in order to meet boundary street requirements under the land use decision concerning this property.
