FACTS AND FINDINGS:
The League of Oregon Cities is holding its annual business meeting on Saturday, October 4, 2025. At the League’s annual business meeting, city representatives will have the opportunity to vote to elect the LOC Board of Directors for 2026. As each city is allowed one vote in the process, each city is identifying a voting delegate in advance of the annual business meeting. Only the named delegate will be eligible to vote. The deadline to provide the City of Salem’s named delegate is September 24, 2025.
Several Salem City Councilors plan to participate in the League’s annual conference this year, which is set to begin on Thursday, October 2, 2025. As of this writing, Salem’s City Council President, Councilor Linda Nishioka, and Mayor Julie Hoy, and Councilors Gwyn and Matthews plan to attend the League of Oregon Cities annual conference.
BACKGROUND:
The League of Oregon Cities holds its annual conference in the fall of each year. At their annual conference, the League of Oregon Cities elects its Board of Directors.
