FACTS AND FINDINGS:
The annexation request is for an approximate 1.94-acre territory located at 5524 Skyline Road S (Marion County Assessor Map and Tax Lot No.: 083W17DB01600). A vicinity map identifying the location of the territory is included as Attachment 1. The facts and findings supporting the annexation, the comprehensive plan map amendment and zone change, and the withdrawal from the Salem Suburban Rural Fire Protection District are included in Ordinance Bill No. 5-26 (Attachment 2). The map and legal description of the territory are included as Exhibit A to the ordinance.
BACKGROUND:
The City Council held a public hearing on the proposed annexation and minor comprehensive plan map amendment and zone change on March 9, 2026. The Council closed the public hearing, conducted deliberations, and voted to approve the annexation and comprehensive plan map amendment and zone change request.
