Shall City Council advance Ordinance Bill No. 4-24, approving annexation, applying City Zoning, and approving withdrawal from the Marion County Fire District #1 and the East Salem Sewer and Drainage District, for a territory located at 4785 and 4815 Auburn Road NE, and advance to second reading?

FACTS AND FINDINGS:

 

The annexation request is for an approximately 1.32-acre territory located at 4785 and 4815 Auburn Road NE (Marion County Assessor Map and Tax Lot numbers: 072W29BC / 00300 and 00600). A vicinity map is included as Attachment 1.

 

The facts and findings supporting the annexation, zoning designation, and withdrawal from the district can be found in Ordinance No. 4-24 (Attachment 2). The territory legal description and map can be found as Exhibit A to the ordinance and is included as Attachment 3.    

 

BACKGROUND:

 

The City Council held a public hearing on the proposed annexation on April 22, 2024. Council closed the public hearing, conducted deliberations, and voted to approve the annexation request.
