FACTS AND FINDINGS:
The annexation request is for territory totaling 7.66 acres in size, which includes 6.60 acres of private property at the 2500 Block of Michigan City Lane NW (Polk County Assessor’s Map and Tax Lot Number: 073W08AB / 3100), and 1.06 acres of private property at the 3300 Block of Levi Street NW (Polk County Assessor’s Map and Tax Lot Number: 073W08BA / 502). A vicinity map is included as Attachment 1.
The facts and findings supporting the annexation, zoning designation, and withdrawal from the district can be found in Ordinance No. 5-25 (Attachment 2). The territory legal description and map can be found as Exhibit A to the ordinance and is included as Attachment 3.
BACKGROUND:
The City Council held a public hearing on the proposed annexation on April 28, 2025. Council closed the public hearing, conducted deliberations, and voted to approve the annexation request.
