The City leases land from the State of Oregon through its Department of Transportation for land containing the portion of Wallace Marine Park beneath OR-22 and the Center and Marion Street bridges. The lease is set to expire on November 30, 2023, and needs to be extended.

FACTS AND FINDINGS

Staff and the State of Oregon have come to terms on a proposed lease extension (Lease) (Attachment 1). Key terms of the Lease are below.

 

Lease Term:                                          10 years

Lease Rate:                                          Gratis

Acreage:                                          8 acres

The Lease property and Wallace Marine Park is maintained by the Public Works Department’s Parks Division.
