body
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND:
The City of Salem (City) and Salem-Keizer School District 24J (District) have maintained a Cooperative Facility Use Agreement (Agreement) since 1975. The purpose of the Agreement is to allow the City and District to use each other’s facilities for programs provided by or sponsored by the City and District. The current agreement was adopted in 2013 and expires June 30, 2016.
FACTS AND FINDINGS:
The Extension Agreement allows for continuation of the 2013 agreement for one additional year. This extension provides an opportunity to incorporate any changes resulting from the proposed land swap and associated update to the maintenance agreement between the City and District outlining responsibilities at Joint Use Sites.
